Superstar actress Drew Barrymore has finalized her divorce from Will Kopelman, who she still considers a good friend. The speed and peacefulness with which this Hollywood power couple has dissolved their marriage are to be envied — and many soon-to-be exes would no doubt like to emulate this kind of breakup.

The duo completed their divorce just three weeks after the initial filing of their divorce papers in Manhattan. Drew and Will did not even appear in court one time. Because their divorce was “uncontested” and neither spouse felt the need to fight or disagree over custody and assets, court proceedings were rendered completely unnecessary.

Drew and Will have two daughters together who are still very young. According to sources, the couple wanted to stay civil and preserve their friendship during, through, and after their divorce process. They wanted to avoid a “messy” divorce and stay close with each other for the sake of their children. In fact, the entire family is currently together in Nantucket.

In Drew Barrymore’s case, this was her third divorce. This may have helped she and her husband get through the proceedings in the most peaceful way possible. Indeed, experience sometimes helps in a marital breakup. This is precisely why an experienced divorce attorney is so indispensable when going through a breakup. A divorce attorney will help his or her client steer clear of unnecessary pitfalls that commonly lead to discord, argument, and difficulty. This ensures that the divorce process goes as smoothly and stress-free as possible. This invariably translates into saving a great deal of time and money for all parties involved.
